On February 24, 2022, President Vladimir Putin launched the Russian army on Ukraine. Three years of war have demonstrated Putin's determination to seize economic wealth and eradicate Ukrainian culture in the territories he has conquered.
In March 2025, Russia occupies 20% of Ukrainian territory. It's as if, in Saudi Arabia, the Houthis, supported by Iran, had seized the provinces of Jizan, Asir, Najran, and Al Bahah in March 2018, along the entire coast of the provinces of Mecca and Medina, and forced their inhabitants to become Shiites!
US President Donald Trump promised to achieve peace in Ukraine, but by adopting all of Putin's demands... Seeing this, Putin gradually added new demands during the negotiations in Riyadh, with the aim of transforming the remaining 80% of Ukraine like a "sheep ready for the final stab."
On Thursday, March 27, 2025, French President @Emmanuel Macron convened a "Coalition of the Willing" of 30 heads of state in Paris, including Britain's Keir Starmer, Germany's Olaf Scholz, and Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz. A coalition outside NATO and the European Union that has decided to maintain sanctions against Russia and Russia continues to be unable to access the global banking system SWIFT. France announced €2 billion in new military equipment. To monitor a future Peace Agreement, French, British, and possibly Turkish soldiers will go to Ukraine.
Against France, Putin's nuclear threats are nothing more than a bluff. No bunker in Moscow could withstand the thermonuclear bombs launched by France's four undetectable deep-sea attack submarines. Putin and his generals know this very well: this is the balance of nuclear deterrence.
No Russian fighter jets fly in Ukrainian sky anymore, and no Russian warships ply the Black Sea, for fear of American, French, British, and even Ukrainian missiles! French Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets are already in Ukrainian sky, and the arrival of many more will allow total domination of Ukrainian sky. France can modify the range of its Mistral, Scalp, Exocet, and Aster missiles, and the Ukrainians will then be able to strike deep into Russia. All this is possible because France relies on 70 years of military industries independent of the USA, initiated by General de Gaulle.
Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 plan to diversify its economy could draw inspiration from the Ukrainian experience. All weapons sold by the US are subject to total US control under the ITAR Act. While France is clearly taking the lead in supporting Ukraine, Saudi Arabia could diversify its diplomacy and increase its sovereignty, leveraging on France's strong military perforation capability and political reliability.
