One year of work to alert and prevent against the formation of the Congo's Climate Tipping Point, in the heart of the vast African rainforest.

One year of analysis, proposals of Slogans & Global campaigns to launch carbon offset mechanisms for some of the biggest events in the World.

One year of mail and e-mail to suggest to some Big Decision makers and High Authorities about the vital goal of sanctuarizing the Congo Basin's rainforests and peatlands.

Scientific teams have traveled through the immense areas in the Congo's equatorial forest and they have calculated that its vast and deep rainy peatlands store 30 billion tons of CO2, the equivalent of 6 years of greenhouse gas emissions by the USA ! ! !

In addition to being a treasure house of biodiversity, these Congo Basin's peatlands constitute therefore an authentic Climate Tipping Point, in the exact definition given by an article in the world-known scientific weekly, Nature, of November 27, 2019.

As a specialist in the current Anthropocene era, among other environmental problems that Mankind activities have generated, I have chosen to work on the promotion of International Campaigns to organize the carbon neutrality of large already existing World Events, whose the funds collected will help in safeguarding the Congo Basin's rainforets and peatlands.

Of course, British, Dutch, American, German, and African scientists have already studied the Congo Basin peatlands. Of course, NGOs like Greenpeace, WWF, Mongabay, and International Institutions as Le Partenariat pour les Forêts du Bassin du Congo (PFBC), l'Union Internationale de Conservation de la Nature (UICN), REDD +, have already warned about the needed protection of this rainforest and launched safeguard programs.

But the originality and strength of the Congo Archipelago Project lie in 3 dynamics :

1) the launch of World-size campaigns to collect donations, therefore by starting and organizing mobilizations, enthusiasm and awareness among large sectors of Global public opinion

2) the deeply transformative proposal towards already existing major World events, like the Pilgrimage to Mecca, the FIFA World Tournaments, the World Expo, The Olympics Games, etc. to now launch a carbon offset mechanism for their emissions, which will raise funds to fuel Foundations

3) managed by Foundations, the establishment of vast protected parks, genuine sanctified zones in the Congo Basin, where any form of deforestation will be prohibited. And therefore the launch of new economic resources for local populations

Loggers cut a tropical tree in a matter of tens of minutes. It takes decades for a tropical tree to reach maturity, and effectively fulfill its role of protecting the undergrowth. We can not joke with the rainforest and peatlands, which currently store 30 billion tons of CO2 ! This represents a real time bomb that must now be disarmed !
